COVID-19 Return to Training

Glenorchy Knights is pleased to let all members know that our COVID-19 Response Management Plan has been approved by Football Tasmania and we will return to training as of Monday 25 May.

Information about the rules we need to follow is below.  This applies to all training grounds at KGV, Prince of Wales Bay and Eady Street Sports Ground.

GET IN, TRAIN AND GET OUT

Do not come to training if you are unwell or have flu-like symptoms, are at-risk due to an existing health issue or have been in contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

At all times, make sure you practice good personal hygiene and keep your distance:

  • Wash your hands often or use the sanitiser provided

  • If you cough or sneeze, use a tissue or your elbow

  • Do not spit

  • Stay at least 1.5 metres away from anyone else.

The rules until further notice are:

  • No sharing of drink bottles - bring your own bottle with your name on it

  • No sharing of balls or equipment including bibs

  • No use of changerooms - only toilets can be used if needed

  • Arrive dressed and ready to train

  • Any tasks that can be done at home should be done at home - such as strapping

  • Arrive no more than 15 minutes before training

  • If you have been directed to a drop-off point, make sure that is where you go first

  • Only essential people can be at training

  • Only 1 parent/carer should bring players to training and should stay in their car or the car park area - do not enter the training area

  • Leave immediately after training.

If any players, parents or club officials break these rules, please report it to the President, Paul Woodham. Breaches will be dealt with under the club code of conduct.

If any person becomes unwell during training, we have plans in place.

Only registered players can train.

If you haven’t done so already, we recommend you download the COVIDSafe app.

Thank you for your help to ensure we comply with public health guidelines and for a safe return to football training and competitions.
